SEIU 721 members along with a host of SEIU locals and community allies are standing up for a clear path to citizenship and keeping families together as Congress considers different immigration reform plans.

Last Spring SEIU members from across the state, collected 100,000 signatures to help qualify "The Schools and Safety Protection Act of 2012" (also known as Proposition 30) for the November ballot.

SEIU 721 strongly supports laws that help private employers provide a stronger retirement benefit for their workers.

Armed with results from nearly 500 Workplace Bullying surveys, members presented a large report card, rating the County on key bullying activities during a Ventura County Supervisors meeting on Sept. 27, 2011.

This week the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) has earmarked up to $800 million for investments in California infrastructure such as transportation, energy, utilities and natural resources - an action that will create good jobs for years to come.
