SEIU 721 members and community activists took LA city officials and candidates on a tour of blighted bank-owned homes that are ruining neighborhoods in South LA.

On Saturday, June 23 the SEIU 721 Blight Brigade, which includes members from our partners at Good Jobs LA, culminated a week of work with visits to almost 700 homes and other properties in Inglewood which banks have foreclosed on or are threatening with foreclosure.

On June 13, the Los Angeles City Council voted 14-0 to amend the Foreclosure Registry Ordinance. This amendment will help the city enforce the ordinance that could bring in millions of dollars in revenue for the city by fining banks for the devastation they cause our neighborhoods.
